Australian Women in Solar Energy are incredibly excited to announce that we are expanding our organisation. In the coming weeks and months, we will be rolling out our AWISE state chapters. The purpose of these chapters is to support diversity and inclusion within local solar energy communities to come together on a more regular basis.

 

We are always looking for talented people to work with our Board to:

• Facilitate regular networking events for our members. 

• Get involved with any AWISE events being run in their state. 

• Be dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive group that supports a variety of people in their local renewable energy community. With a particular focus on supporting women and other individuals who aren’t traditionally represented in this space.  

• Meet regularly with AWISE committees to assist in achieving the organisation's goals and initiatives. 

• Advocate for women and diversity in the renewable energy sector.

 

The local state chapters will be self-run by and for their members. AWISE is now taking expressions of interest for individuals interested in joining and/or chairing their local state chapter.  

 

Please note that these are volunteer positions only.

Despite AWISE’s name we do encourage individuals of all gender identities to get involved.
